1. How do I remove the cursor window from a chart? |
To remove the cursor window from a chart, press <End>, or choose Hide Cursor Window from the Chart Menu.

2. How do I put something in a quote window layout? |
To enter an element in a quote window layout, the quote window must be in layout mode. Right click in the quote window and choose Modify Layout from the Quote Menu. Notice the background changes to a grid. Left click where you want to insert the element. This displays the "Cell = " edit box. Type the element in the edit box and press Enter.

3. How do I move a window? |
Aspen windows may be placed virtually anywhere on the screen and partially off the screen. Windows that are partially off the screen will continue to update as though they were in full view. You can move a window with the mouse or with the keyboard.

4. How do I pivot a trend line? |
To pivot a trend line, left-click on either of a trend line's anchor points and drag the anchor point.

5. What is grid snap? |
Before you start moving and sizing windows, you should be aware of grid snap. Grid snap assists you in sizing, moving and aligning windows.
Aspen Graphics provides the background grid to which window borders will snap during move and size operations.
By default, the grid snap feature is active. As you begin using Aspen Graphics, you should leave the grid snap feature on. This will help you keep the borders of windows within the boundaries of your screen while you are learning to resize windows.
The Setup Options dialog enables you to turn grid snap on and off.

6. How do I change the time base of a chart? |
To change the time base of a chart, right click on the chart and choose Scale… This displays the Chart Properties dialog open to the Scale tab.
To change the time base, modify the fields in the Horizontal Scale group. The Width field controls which database (tick, 15 minute, or daily) you want to access. The second field modifies the value in the Width field.

7. How do I move the chart cursor with the mouse? |
To move the cursor with the mouse, place the pointer on the chart and press the left mouse key. Continue pressing the left mouse key and drag the pointer across the screen. As the cursor rests upon each period, the period’s values are displayed in the cursor window.

8. How do I scroll through news stories with the mouse? |
To scroll through news headlines with a mouse, enable the vertical scroll bar. To enable the vertical scroll bar, choose Properties… from the News menu. This displays the News Properties dialog.
Make sure the Display vertical scrollbars toggle is checked. Then click OK. News windows will be equipped with a scroll bar along the right border. Click in the scrollbar to scroll through headlines with the mouse.
