Chart Cursor

The chart cursor lets you read bar and study values. You can move the cursor with the keyboard or with the mouse. When you use the cursor, the cursor display window appears in the upper left corner of the chart.

To move the chart cursor with the keyboard, press the left and right arrow keys. To remove the chart cursor, press End.

To move the cursor with the mouse, position the pointer on the chart and press the left mouse key. Continue pressing the left mouse key and drag the pointer across the screen. As the cursor rests upon each period, the period's values are displayed in the cursor window.

To remove the chart cursor, choose Hide Cursor Window from the chart menu, or position the pointer over the price scale and left click.

The cursor window expands as you add overlays, studies, trend lines, and formulas to the chart.
