Instrument symbols vary from one data feed to another.
U.S. stock symbols are fairly straight forward--they are generally what you see in the Wall Street Journal, or on a CNBC ticker. Once you leave the realm of U.S. stocks, however, you must rely on information provided by your data feed. Futures, forex, international stocks and futures, and other instrument types vary dramatically from feed to feed. It is best to learn the symbol nuances of your data feed. Browse you data feed's web site for more information.
