This study plots the acquisition of long position in anticipation of a bull market, and the distribution, or sale, in anticipation of a market decline. Accumulation distribution modifies the On Balance Volume concept by comparing the closing price to the opening price of the same period rather than the previous close to determine whether there was accumulation or distribution in the market for a given period.
