Truncating

Truncating is the opposite of extending.

To truncate a trend line, at least one end of the trend line must have been extended.

There are several ways to truncate a trend line.

To truncate a trend line, you must be in trend mode.

To truncate a trend line with the mouse, position the pencil over an anchor point and double-click the left mouse key.

To truncate a trend line with the menu, right click on the trend line you want to truncate and choose Truncate.

Parameters

You can also truncate a trend line by editing the Extend parameter. Right click the trend line and choose Parameters... from the Trend Line Functions menu. Open the Extend branch and un-check the end point you want to truncate.
